AGILENT Technologies and Protein Discovery have announced their distribution agreement for a specialised reagent used to prepare biological samples for mass spectrometry analysis.
Developed by Protein Discovery, PPS Silent Surfactant is an acid-cleavable, zwitterionic detergent which helps researchers produce high-quality mass spectra from biological samples.
The company claims the reagent is useful for solubilising hydrophobic proteins for extraction and preparative digestion.
The product is able to be used at any stage of the sample preparation without interfering with separation mechanisms, ESI or detection.
The agreement encompasses aspects of sales, marketing and support for the product.
