Porvair Sciences has announced a new 4-row partitioned reservoir plate that allows aspiration of up to 4 reagents into a single well space, saving valuable deck space on automated liquid handling systems.
The plate is partitioned into 4 rows with thin walls allowing pipette tips with strippers to reach the bottom of the channelled reservoir. Each row holds 73ml, providing a total volume of 292ml.
The plates are said to suit almost any automated liquid handling or pipetting system. The pyramid bottoms reduce reagent waste by providing a collection area with a dead volume of less than 0.5ml.
The new 4-row partitioned reservoirs are constructed in ultra-pure, chemically resistant virgin polypropylene to eliminate contamination of samples or reagents with extractables and leachates from the plate material.
An optional polypropylene lid is available to minimise reagent evaporation and enable stacking of reservoir plates. The reservoirs are available in packs of 25.
Australian distributors for Porvair Sciences are BMG LABTECH and Quantum Scientific.
