PERKINELMER has launched its Cool Eye Thermopile Line Array which has been developed for energy conservation and indoor climate control in HVAC appliances.
The Thermopile Line Array detector has been designed to meet applications which require low resolution 3-D thermal images capable of resolving humans and small animals without the use of high-resolution infrared (IR) imaging cameras.
PerkinElmer claim the Thermopile Lune Array detector, which is equipped with 16-elements, has increased the sensitivity of the company’s older models, providing improvements in temperature resolution, enhancing energy conservation by up to 30% in HVAC applications.
The Cool Eye has been designed with microcontroller integrations which PerkinElmer claims allows for greater flexibility and ease of integration with OEMs.
