INVITROGEN has received the AmeriStar Package Award from the Institute of Packaging Professionals for its Gibco cell culture bottle.
The redesigned Gibco cell culture bottle was recently launched to offer researchers improved storage efficiency and reduced sample contamination for their cell culture experiments.
Gibco cell culture bottle is the result of three years of collaborative researcher and development between Invitrogen, a subsidy of Life Technologies, and design company IDEO. The result is an improved design which provides improved ergonomics, easier identification and additional room for supplements.
The Package Award came after AmeriStar evaluated more than 100 packages in 15 different categories. Gibco was presented with the award in the medical device category.
