Biotage have created an on-line database called PathFinder, which contains over 5,200 methods for microwave synthesis.
PathFinder contains four major tools:
- Biotage PathFinder: Search using simple keywords, to find microwave conditions for your reactions of interest along with experimental details and information needed to perform the reactions.
- Microwave Cookbook: allows the user to browse through a selection of popular reactions from the PathFinder;
- Ask-a-Chemist: enables direct communication with a team of chemists experienced in microwave synthesis; and
- Vapour Pressure Calculator: automatically calculates vapour pressure for common solvents.
PathFinder is updated monthly with information from scientific partners and recent literature. Reactions are checked for accuracy and unclear processes are verified with authors directly.
