ANDOR has announced the release of its Clara CCD camera which has been developed to deliver high sensitivity performance from a high-resolution interline CCD camera.
Andor says the design of Clara is based on the popular ICX285 sensor from Sony.
Suited for high-resolution cell microscopy and OEM applications, Clara is equipped with Andor’s UltraVac process which results in deep air cooling to -45°C for elimination of darkcurrent, complementing a unique read noise of 3e- @ 1 MHz.
Andor suggests through the use of Clara, researchers are able to perform dynamic events with quantitative stability via low noise 10 or 20 MHz readout modes, the data channeled through a trouble-free USB 2.0 interface.
Additionally, Andor says Clara is ideally suited to OEM integration because of its compact, robust design and accessible SDK.
Andor products are distributed by Scitech in Australia.
