BAYER Technology Services has announced it will be presenting its product portfolio at ACHEMA from 11 to 15 May 2009.
Included in the Showcase will be BayShake, a process-optimised cell cultivation technology as well as Bayqik, a novel add-on technology for reducing sulfur dioxide emissions while simultaneously increasing sulfuric acid production capacity.
The BayShake platform has been developed as a hydrodynamic movement concept for surface or membrane gassing.
Bayer says an easily scalable oxygen supply and mixing of cell culture solutions without entrainment of bubbles is achieved through the surface or membrane gassing.
The BayShake platforms oscillating design has been designed to eliminate the need for installing stirring devices inside the cultivation vessel.
Add-on technology Bayqik, which will also be on display at ACHEMA, enables sulphuric acid producers using metallurgical processes to comply with air pollution limits while simultaneously increasing their production capacity.
Also on display will be Bayer’s online analytics product suites SpectroBay and BayChromat.
