iMIC 2000 microscope allows fast and automated digital imaging

Agilent Technologies' iMIC 2000 digital microscope allows fast and precisely controlled scientific imaging.  Australian distributor SciTech claims the microscope is ideally suited for software controlled, automated screening, laser scanning and PC-based microscopy.

The iMIC 2000 microscope has a fully motorized digital imaging platform.  Its high-speed focus is said to allow following of fast cell processes while safeguarding sensitive biological specimens from phototoxicity and bleaching.

ts modular design provides a combination of advanced fluorescence measurement capabilities for quantitative microscopy.

Multiple light sources, filters, and cameras enable this digital microscope to perform different measurements and imaging experiments simultaneously.  It allows the user to perform TIRF, FRET, FRAP all in one unit.

For live-cell imaging, the iMIC’s hardware and software architecture provides automation to control environmental conditions, complex experiments and is said to provide rapid, reliable operation for high throughput.
