Analyse autoradiographs with workflow software

25 November 2009 Print this article Comments Share this article

Densita from MBF Bioscience is a software application for semi-quantitative and autoradiographic analyses of optical density in biological tissue.

Densita can use previously acquired images, or acquire new images with a digital camera and light table or microscope to perform receptor binding and mapping studies.

Got a Question about this product?

MBF’s Workflow technology includes specific steps for image acquisition, calibration, total binding and non-specific binding linking, contour tracing, results display, and exporting to Microsoft Excel.

Using an optical step wedge or radioactivity standards, Densita calculates the relative optical density (ROD), luminance, concentration, ligand concentration and the amount of radioactivity within a defined area.

Densita also features montaging and multi-channel image support for fluorescent semi-quantitative analysis.

If time data is adjusted at any point in the workflow, Densita automatically recalculates the results accordingly. There is no need to recapture the image or start over from the beginning.

Densita software is available from SciTech.
